Kilimanjaro from the air

The view of Kilimanjaro from the air was quite good, but it was difficult to get a shot without reflections through the window and avoiding the aircraft and propellers. This was taken as we were flying over Amboseli National Park, where we'd had a run in with an elephant a few years earlier!

This was the aircraft we flew in. Luckily Alison had flown in the U.K. on smaller aircraft with her job and so she wasn't as unsettled as I was expecting.

This is what we had to look forward to in a few days time!

We came across the Thomson's Gazelle and Grant's Zebra just as we left the airfield. In fact if the plane had turned in the other direction it may well have scared them off.
