As dusk approached we were driving down river to Sobo Camp, but as true 'hunters' we still hadn't had enough.

FThe real prize was claimed by Paul in the other Land Rover, as he spotted the lioness in the bush by the road. Lions are difficult enough to see at the best of times, let alone after a long tiring day, as dusk is falling and travelling at 40-50 mph! It is unusual to see any lion alone, but particularly a lioness. So we think her pride could not have been too far off - I for one was keeping a close eye behind us! |

Typical isn't it! We deliberately took time out to see the Hippos below Crocodile Point only to find the camp had adopted their own hippo for our amusement! He obviously fed on the grass around the camp at night, because we kept coming across his footprints. H
