We left Sobo Camp after breakfast following the track towards Voi, climbing through the scrub towards the ridge.

GWe hadn't seen many Impala in this region before. This family were simply grazing with the male keeping an eye on everything. Giraffe and elephants are common in the area so we weren't too surprised to see them as they are both easy to spot. Notice the bird on the giraffe's back. It is probably tolerated as it eats ticks and other bugs keeping the host healthy.

Elephant however, may only be seen from a distance disappearing into the bush and quite often termite mounds are mistaken for them.
