If you're considering or planning a safari to East Africa or simply interested in wildlife why not take one of our virtual safaris? We've talked the plot, now see the results from true amateurs with plenty of experience who have no hidden agenda.

Our virtual tours include our catalogue of digital photos and short movie clips taken from the best safaris to each of the parks, giving specific time periods, dates, with every animal identified and details of any points of interest. The location of each photo is pin-pointed on regional maps defining where it was taken. The presentation is unique in combining such detail, recording what is to be seen in each park, the diversity of game available, how close you can get and frequency of sitings.

The interface uses simple graphical buttons, similar to video recorders and fronted by an East African map with show selection buttons. You can even play your own catalogue of photos/media clips by simply selecting the directory where they are stored. In this case images are played in alphabetical order of their filename. Once a show is running it will step through each image at 5 second intervals by default, but this can be increased or reduced ( not less than 3 second intervals in case of strobe effects ). Alternatively you can step forward and back manually at your own speed. You can even set a show to run repeatedly in a loop for exhibitions or roadshows.

Provides c. 285 Mbytes of media files ( photos and video clips ) from our best safaris to date to all of the following areas : Aberdares ; Amboseli ; Chyulu Hills ; Lewa Downs ; Loisaba ; Masai Mara ; Meru ; Nakuru ; Samburu and Buffalo Springs ; Tsavo East ; and, Tsavo West.

Tanzania - 01

204 Mbytes of media files ( photos and video clips ) from our best safaris to date to all of the following areas : Manyara ; Ngorongoro Conservation Area ; Serengeti ; and Tarangire.

East Africa - 01

Provides all 490 Mbytes of media files from both of the above CDs at a reduced cost.

All safari disks, except 'East Africa 01' are only £35 ( US$50 or €50 ) including all taxes, packaging and postage, a bargain to ensure you get the most from your trip or offering you the experience without the expense of travelling to East Africa! The 'East Africa 01' disk is £50 ( US$70 or €70 ).

Notes.

1. CDs are only suitable for PCs running Windows 95 or later operating system.
2. If you get Windows DLL, OCX or similar errors then you will have to run the install application to load the missing files.
3. To offer as many images as possible on a single disk they have been optimised for a 1024x768 screen and quality is obviously limited by the equipment available at the time the picture was taken.
